Proverbs 22:16-18

¹⁶He ^(A)who oppresses the poor to make ^[a]more for himself
Or who gives to the rich ^(B)will only come to lack.

¹⁷^(C)Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise,
And set your heart on my knowledge;
¹⁸For it will be ^(D)pleasant if you keep them within you,
^[b]That they may be established on your lips.
